October Monthly Recap
In a blink of an eye, we are in the month of November. Which can only mean one thing … The Christmas countdown is officially on! But not only that, the monthly enews is back for another edition.
I know we say it all of the time, but November has been one of our most epic months yet! With projects galore and a job done what was a first for HG, it won’t be a month we forget in a hurry, that’s for sure.
Without any more delay, let’s get into this month’s edition of the enews.
DIY Kitchens
We really aren’t getting sick of DIY Kitchens in the monthly write up, and we hope you aren’t too because we love working with this amazing company.
This signage installation was for their new Oxford site, where we installed Built Up Letters that were face illuminated. The job included a site survey by our team, visuals developed, signs fabricated and then the installation itself of the 4 signs across the building, ranging from 4-5 metres wide.
2 of our guys perfectly installed the signs in just 2 days.
DIY Kitchens
Oh, and we weren’t done there with DIY Kitchens in October.
That’s right, not only did we complete a signage installation for the company, we even did some vehicle wrapping for the team too. The wrap job in question for a Luton Van that had been added to their ever-growing fleet.
Over the years we have completed many Luton Van wraps for DIY, so this job was done with minimal fuss, with the van ready for the road in no time.
T&A Maintenance
In the vibrant community of Dale Court, our neighbours at T&A Maintenance required urgent glass window manifestations to comply with Health and Safety Regulations. We swiftly sprang into action by providing various design options, and after careful consideration, the client opted for a sleek and straightforward approach—frosting their office glass partition with a cut-out of their logo.
Blaine efficiently handled the installation in just one morning, and we managed to complete the entire job in a remarkable five days. This involved everything from the initial site survey to design, production, and finally, the swift installation. It was a true testament to our team’s quick turnaround and commitment to meeting our clients’ needs.
The perfect blend of speed and efficiency.
Dublin Kia
Teased in last month’s write up, the adventurous HG Surface team embarked on a thrilling journey across the Irish shores to Dublin, taking on an exhilarating challenge: reimagining KIA’s flagship store with an eye-catching exterior cladding makeover.
KIA, amidst a sweeping company rebrand, has been orchestrating a visual revolution across its UK dealerships. These transformations rely on architectural wrap techniques, and the HG team’s knack for such makeovers caught the attention of KIA Dublin. The result? An invitation for HG to breathe fresh life into their showroom’s exterior.
For both the HG Surface team and KIA, this project held immense significance. While the HG team had successfully revamped numerous KIA showrooms before, this was their inaugural overseas exterior wrap undertaking and marked the first KIA store transformation in the whole of Ireland.
The HG Surface installation team swiftly executed the application in just 2 weeks, employing a whopping 315 meters of exterior vinyl to manifest the envisioned transformation.
Ice Co
A friendly face to the ENews, Ice Co is back again in our monthly catch up with the HG team completing yet another trailer wrap.
Much like many of our valued customers, taking a trailer unit off the road for even a few hours can be both challenging and expensive, and this was certainly the case for Ice Co.
Nevertheless, we made our schedules fit together to ensure we got the third trailer of theirs to be wrapped by the graphics team for the latest marketing campaign. With just a pair of skilled individuals and a morning’s worth of work, we ensured that the trailer could swiftly return to its revenue-generating duties by the afternoon.
We can’t wait to wrap their next vehicle.
PAB Studios
In true UK fashion, October arrived and so did the winter weather!
Imagine having to work outside in storm Babet? Well, unfortunately for our very own Gavin and Steve, they experienced quite the soaking as they valiantly worked on fixing a sign to a building on that particularly wet day.
To be honest, it couldn’t have been a worse choice for installation! Regrettably, it was our only window due to the lift hire constraints and it being Gav’s last day before his well-deserved holiday. With the rest of the team busy wrapping a truck, Gav pitched in as an additional helping hand.
The task involved securing a sizable 5000 x 1000mm sign onto a building in Leeds. When they returned, their attire resembled a spin cycle straight out of the washing machine – thoroughly drenched from their escapade.
Oh, what a day that was! Nevertheless, the lads got it done.
Tik Tok
HG meets Tik Tok… Well kind of haha!
Month on month, we always tell you about projects we just can’t talk about, and this is yet another example of that, but with a slightly different twist.
This particular project was for an individual with a significant following on TikTok, known as “Dave the angry trucker.” Our involvement included the setup, production, and installation, focusing on wrapping a DAF tractor unit.
We’re looking forward to sharing more details next month or whenever he decides to unveil the video for the big reveal. Stay tuned for the exciting updates!
Alpine Showroom
Dublin KIA wasn’t our only exterior wrap project for the month of October (surprise, surprise!).
This job saw us team up with Tara Signs to complete a building wrap for an Alpine Showroom. In just 4 days, we had 2 of our guys complete this exterior transformations, with 100sqm of material being used to bring the desired results to life.
We really do love an exterior wrap!
TEK Contracts
It’s been a little while since we have completed window frame wrapping here at HG, but last month saw us back doing exactly that.
It was quite the trek this one with the job being situated in London and it involved us wrapping the internal window frames of 2 windows to match RAL 7021 Black Grey.
In just one day, a HG team installer had this job ticked off.
Team HG news
Despite the ugly weather beginning to settle in, that didn’t stop some of the HG team having some fun in the last month!
Gavin and Natalie took their caravan over to the lakes with little Harry to take some well-earned time off. Back at HQ, we really got in the Halloween theme, decorating the gaf with some spooky vibes😊
This brings us to the end of yet another edition of the monthly enews.
We hope you once again enjoyed the read. Want to make sure you keep up to date with all things HG? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing us at hello@teamhg.co.uk, and we’ll make sure you don’t miss out.
