HG Graphics have once again helped an organisation in the process of moving to a new business unit by implanting new signage to the exterior of their building. This time the beneficiaries were CBE+.
CBE+, from the Chesterfield area are a multi-disciplined sub-contracting company who specialise in offering a variety of complementary engineering services from their single dedicated facility.
This project signified the first time HG Graphics and CBE+ had worked together. Although all projects are treat as importantly as each other at HG Graphics, long lasting working relationships have become a cornerstone of Team HG’s business, so there was a huge focus that the CBE+ team were satisfied by the job the HG team did.
The Project

‘’Following the move to a brand-new facility, CBE+ required new signage to be installed on the exterior of their building, which outlined the brand name. Not only did they want signage applied to the exterior of the building, the client also wanted some way finding signage to be installed at the entrance to the car park, giving visitors to the site clear directions on where to go, depending on the purpose of their visit.’’ Said Gavin, Owner of HG Graphics.
Gavin continued ‘’One of the main reasons we were selected for this project was because of the project management service we offer at Team HG. CBE+ had already so much going on in terms of the business unit move so were really wanting someone to take the stress away for the signage install. Following an initial meeting and the explanation of our capabilities of being able to take control of this task from start to finish, we were able to win this work’’.
The Solution
As touched upon, Team HG took very much a hands-on approach on this project. Once the project got the go ahead, the team visited the Chesterfield site for a site survey before submitting technical drawings of the signs and mock-ups for CBE+ to sign off.
In regard to the type of signage that was utilised for this project, overall the signs included 2 sets of flat cut dibond letters that were 2m wide, and a flat panel dibond sign that was used as the wayfinding signage at the entrance of the building which was fixed onto an old totem sign that was already in situ (this sign was 1m x 1m).
The Installation
In terms of the installation for this particular project, it was completed with very minimal fuss, as although a project like this would be daunting for many, the HG team have completed many of these kind of installs over the years with their past experiences putting them in good stead.
The install of the signage was completed by just 2 of the HG Graphics team and was finished in just one afternoon, with the whole installation process taking just over 4 hours.

‘’This project was a great one to not only get ticked off but one that we managed to take complete ownership of from start to finish, providing such a seamless process for our clients. With it also being the first time we worked with CBE+, we really did want to make a great impression, so it was great that the project went as smoothly as it did.’’
Gavin, HG Graphics
Gavin continued ‘’Like many of the signage installs we do, we used different types of signage in this project and it really is a sign of how the signage market has developed in recent years, and as a result, how flexible it allows us to be. Our signage offering today spans wide and far, from signage letters to tray signage, to post mounted signage, flex face signage and even flat panel signage. The upshot of this is, is that it allows us to provide a very comprehensive signage installation service’’
