Spring has sprung (apparently) and so has the monthly e news, back into action for yet another catch up as we look back at the month of March here at Team HG!.
This time last year we were manic, trying to juggle a business home move with lots of huge projects at the same time. Well, this March we would argue that we have been just as busy (minus the move ofcourse), with a huge array of projects completed.
Without any further delay, let’s get into this month’s edition.
Utilita Window Frames
Window frame wrapping really is an untapped solution in our industry, but is a service we love offering to our clients. Gone are the days where you have to keep your boring white window frames. Today, architectural wrap provides the opportunity to give these substrates a look and feel of your choice.
For this window frame wrap job, our lads (Jacob, Blaine and Kyle) travelled 200km south of our HQ to Winchester. Clients Utilita required all of their buildings internal window frames to be wrapped from red to dark anthracite grey to help bring a cleaner and more professional look to proceedings.
Following a week and a half of hard graft from the lads, we got the job done and it’s safe to say that the interior setting was totally transformed by the window frame transformation, delighting our customers with the end result.
DBL Man Tractor Units
A saying we love to say here at HG Graphics is that we love a challenge and in the form of wrapping tractor units, this forms a vehicle branding challenge we really do relish.
DBL, who are no strangers to us at HG came to us with the job of partial wraps on 3 Man Tractor units and we were more than happy to assist. Managing this project from enquiry to sign off, we got to work straight away on the artwork and production before our installation specialists Blaine and Kyle got to work on the wrapping of the vehicles.
So far, we have 2 of the vehicles completed and sent back to DBL road ready, with the final vehicle set to come into our gaf this month to be wrapped.
Wakefield Trinity – AEG Banner
In last months ENews we told you about the work we have been doing at the Wakefield Trinity Stadium, and we warned you that it wouldn’t be the last time you heard about this project in our monthly catch ups. Well, we’re sticking true to our word, as we have been back again to the stadium in March completing yet more work.
For this task, the HG team were required to install 3 whopping sized promotional banners for the stadium. The banners measured an incredible 22m x 2m, requiring all members of our team to get involved on the job.
Despite the scope of this job, the team worked together to get it done in just 3 days.
Wakefield Trinity – Scaffolding Banner
The banner type of work in March at the Trinity Stadium didn’t stop there either!
The club also required some scaffolding banners to be installed, 17 in total, with 13 on the front and 2 on each side, which included the clubs logo, and a row of players from the team imposed on the banners.
To get the finished result our client wanted, we used a high-resolution digitally printed standard mesh (ultramesh premium), with reinforced welding tape hems all around, with us zip tying through the eyelets onto the scaffolding.
To get the 17 x 5.5 metre banners installed took our team just 2 days to install.
Wakefield Trinity – Signage
The final task we had to complete at Wakefield Trinity was the installation of 40 signs within the premises. A task which on face value seems a fairly easy one, however, we had the caveat of having to get these installed in just 1 day ready for the 8pm kick off that very evening.
With a hole range of signs to install, our whole team (Gav, Kyle, Blaine, Jacob and Stephen) all got to work on this one, making a start at 7:30am, managing to get this job done in just 10 hours, well in time for the kick off later that evening.
We were even invited into a box to watch the game afterwards. Great work lads!
Castle Howard Estate Toilet Refurbishment
As mentioned earlier in this months catch up, we love a challenge here at Team HG!, but it’s safe to say that this washroom refurb project at Castle Howard in York was a big one to say the least!
Our client needed their customers toilets refurbishing, and when we got to site, they were in a pretty sorry state in terms of both aesthetics and condition. Although always key, preparation of the surfaces to be wrapped was crucial for this job to ensure a successful application.
Following the completion of significant and thorough prep of all the surfaces and environment, the lads got to work applying 3M DI-NOC architectural film to the cubicles and sink areas. 90 metres of wrap later, the job was done with the transformation speaking for itself.
Team News
Despite the hard graft from the team in month of March, it hasn’t all been work, work, work!
It turns out, it’s not only Gavin at Team HG! who likes his motorhome getaways, Kyle loves them too and even bought himself a brand-new caravan this month! Just in time for the spring and summer months, where him and Megan will be heading off on some nice weekend breaks.
Our creative king Jacob has had a busy month too, heading to Manchester for his brothers stag do, as well as having a nice relaxing break in Tattersall lake with his partner Pheobe.
Last by no means least, Blaine passed his CBT in March too! From everyone at Team HG! we want to say a big well done to Blaine😊.
This brings us to the close of yet another ENews piece.
We hope you have once again enjoyed the read. If you want to keep up with all things HG, please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing us at hello@teamhg.co.uk and we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing.
