HG Graphics have helped local business Innova Kitchens with the implementation of exterior signage on 3 sides of their new purpose-built logistics centre in Featherstone.
Innova kitchens from Leeds best describe themselves as the new exclusive online brand of kitchens, doors, sinks & taps, as well as handles and appliances from an industry leading kitchen manufacturer, an industry they have been servicing for over 35 years.
In terms of a relationship with HG Graphics, like many of the customers at Team HG, Innova Kitchens are a local repeat customer whom the company have had a great relationship with for many years. In the past HG have completed many fleet vehicle wraps for the company, so when Innova needed new signage, they had no hesitation coming to Team HG.
The Project
‘’This particular project for repeat customer Innova Kitchens was quite the sizeable one. Innova had just made a move to a large unit, and as a result of this, they required new signage to be placed on 3 sides of the new unit which would be visible to the general public.’’ Said Gavin, Owner of HG Graphics.
Gavin continued ‘’We very much partnered with the Innova team on the whole process. They had their brand artwork ofcourse, but we used our expertise and experience to help them determine the signage size and placement, to ensure that we got the best impact possible. A project like this really isn’t as simple as it seems, finding the right balance and ‘sweet spot’ between the size of the signage vs the size of the building is crucially important.’’
The Solution
As mentioned, the HG team played very much a holistic role in this project to help meet the goals and objectives the client had. Prior to the production of the signage itself, HG provided the customer with the technical drawings of the signs and mock-ups to ensure correct placement, with RAL references and materials to be used also provided.
With regards to the materials used for this project, the job included the production of Aluminium built up letters that were powder coated and then halo illuminated with 100mm returns. The smaller lettering was made up of 3mm Aluminium flat cut letters that were powder coated graphite grey to match the companies branding.
The sizes of the three signs produced were:
- 5000mm x 1145mm
- 7200mm x 1650mm
- 4030mm x 800mm
The Result
Despite the team at HG having a huge amount of experience over the years in completing jobs like this, there was no doubt this was a big one. The job itself took 3 days to complete with all 4 installers from HG used for the whole job. Led by Installation Manager Kyle, the project was completed as hoped and, in the timeframe promised to the customer.
Not only did the team complete the installation of the three main signs on the exterior of the building, but other signage was also installed on site for Innova, which included way finding signage and office branding graphics.

‘’When looking back on a project like this, it’s something we look back at with a lot of pride. Today, we tend to take this kind of scale of projects in our stride which is something I really couldn’t have dreamt of just a few years ago. Completing a job for a great local company like this is so rewarding too, like many of our customers, Innova Kitchens is a company we have a long-lasting working relationship with, so to see them so happy with the outcome really does bring us a lot of pleasure.’’ Said Gavin.
Gavin continued ‘’The flexibility in our work and how complementary the things we offer as a service is something else which really came to the floor in this job for Innova. The initial chat was just all about the exterior signage being produced and installed on their unit, which ofcourse was the main part of the job, but after our first discussion it became apparent we could help the company in terms of wayfinding signage and brand graphics too, which is great.’’
