Set Branding & Comedic Signage for “Super Cars of Wakey” TV Pilot

We were brought in to support a TV comedy pilot starring Leigh Francis, Tiny Pitts, and Katherine Kelly. Set in a questionable Wakefield supercar dealership, the production needed believable, cheeky branding to ground its storyline. Working alongside the set team, we delivered a full sweep of visual assets, including window graphics, wall decals, printed banners, and windscreen price stickers—each one nodding to the show's bent humour and larger-than-life characters.

Objective

Create immersive set branding for a Wakefield-based comedy pilot centred on a rogue supercar dealership.

Challenge

Design fast-turnaround graphics that blend realism and humour, fitting the show's offbeat tone and local charm.

Solution

Delivered full set dressing—from showroom signage to spoof windscreen deals—bringing the dodgy dealership to life.

Set the Scene

The goal was authenticity with a wink—think backstreet showroom meets comedy gold. We studied actual dealerships, then exaggerated elements just enough to feel funny but still real. Window wraps, “Manager’s Special” signs, and inflated prices gave the space credibility with character.

Fast-Track Production

TV waits for no one. We worked at pace to design, print, and install all graphics on a tight schedule. Coordinating with art directors and location crews, we ensured the visuals landed just right on shoot day.

Proper Job, That

The end result? A branded set that looked bang-on for telly—equal parts slick and sketchy. One crew member said, “It looked so real, I half thought we’d get an actual sale!”
