Welcome to our very first e-news here at HG Graphics!
A big part of our company ethos (apart from being ‘Propa Yorkshire’) is being able to provide service and value. With that in mind, our aim is to bring you added value and service by providing you with a monthly e-news, keeping you up to date with all things team HG. Whether it’s company updates, recent projects, or anything else for that matter, here is where we will give you a snapshot of what’s new with us.
Without any further ado, let’s get into our first edition…
Projects
It’s fair to say that the HG team have been busy over recent months. For many though, the diversity in what we do is challenging for some to get their head round. So, we thought we’d share with you some of the recent projects we have completed for our customers…
Ice Co
We help our customers bring their brand to the forefront. None more so than the Europe’s leading manufacturer and ice supplier, The Ice Co. The Ice Co wanted two delivery trailers wrapped with their brand messaging imprinted on the vehicles.
The Ice Co sought out HG Graphics to deliver this project. Thanks to our printing capabilities and installation skills, we fulfilled this project for them. HG installers, Kyle and Baine installed 130m of print film across the two trailers.
It’s safe to say they were happy with the results!
Sky Pods
Remember our project with 3M DI-NOC on Sky Pods? We helped transform decommission aircrafts into beautiful glamping pods with the help of Architectural Film.
Well, the sky pods team loved the results so much, we’ve been at it again. The objective was slightly different though as this time the sky pod team wanted 4 window pods and cupboard wrapped in film.
With minimal fuss, and with the help of 17 metres of film, we managed to pull of this tricky installation off in just 2 ½ days.
Innova Kitchens
Did you know we can produce and install signage? Well, this is exactly what we did for Leeds based Innova Kitchens.
3 Signs were produced and installed for Innova Kitchens which were Aluminium Built up Letters, Halo Illuminated and were powder coated to match the customers brand colours. These signs also included smaller aluminium cut letters.
The HG team managed this project from start to finish, from site survey, to production, to then the install. The install itself was completed across just two days with our four fitters: Gavin, Kyle, Steve and Blaine working on the job.
Oracle Vision
Having long lasting relationships is something we really do pride ourselves on, and in Oracle vision, we have a customer who we have had a fantastic working relationship with for many years.
Quick fact, the first time Oracle worked with HG, Gav and Steve completed their van wrap on Gav’s drive years back! Since then, the relationship has gone from strength to strength, and we have completed over 20 van wraps for the company.
For this particular project we completed 2 part wraps that conveyed their branding messaging on the Citroen Berlingo & Citroen Dispatch vehicles they have.
DBL Transport & Storage
Having more than one strings to our bow is something that really comes in handy, and this project underlines this.
First of all, customers DBL Transport & Storage needed a part wrap completing for one of their delivery lorries, with a brand-new design that we created. This is the third time we have completed a brand-new design for DBL, and once again they were delighted with this and the installation.
As touched upon, the service didn’t stop there. DBL recently moved into their bigger unit, so we helped take town and relocate their old signage that we had previously completed for them.
38 Degrees – NHS Van Wrap
Quick turnarounds with immaculate results are something that is often a need for our clients given the nature of their reactive industries, and this project is a great example of that.
Our clients 38 degrees needed a part wrap completed on a decommissioned ambulance van for their latest campaign aimed at the then two tory leadership contenders.
The challenge was that we only had three days to sign off the artwork and get the installation completed. Nevertheless, we managed to get the project artwork signed off and the installation completed in time, and our customers were delighted with not only our speed of work but with the results too.
This just scratches the surface on some of our recent projects! The HG Graphics team are continuously helping bring our customers aspirational ideas to life.
Digital
Let’s get digital.
In a world where digital is playing a bigger and bigger part of how consumers operate, gather their research and ultimately make their purchasing decisions, we as a team have recognised the need to up our digital game.
As a result, we have spent a large chunk of 2022 reenergising our websites for both HG Graphics and its sister company, HG Surface.
HG Graphics
First up is our core site, HG Graphics, the site you find yourself on as you read this article.
Launched in April of this, the new websites number one priority was to transform the dated look to the website, bringing a more modern, 21st century look and feel to proceedings.
We also wanted to improve the user experience on the website. From both a visual perspective and a navigation point of view, and we believe we have met our goal in doing this.
The overall result of the overhaul is something we are delighted with, and although there were some snags along the way, we are more than happy with how the site is both looking and performing.
Feel free to have a look around the site, and don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any queries or questions.
HG Surface
The HG Surface website quickly followed the launch of the HG Graphics site, with the website being launched at the start of the month of July.
As the HG Surface brand has different stakeholders to the HG Graphics business, it was imperative that we had a website that was both inspirational and informative to our target audience.
It’s fair to say that we have met our goals for this site, and we are delighted with the results.

Staff News
Away from the fast-paced working environment of team HG, the team have had a busy month in their personal lives too! Well apart from Laura and Steve who have had a very, and I quote ‘boring’ month aha!
This month was not so boring for Installation Manager Kyle however. Kyle and his partner Megan got engaged whilst on a getaway in Scotland. Congratulations Kyle from everyone at the HG Family!
Gavin and Natalie had a family trip away in Yorkshire camping. Gav hasn’t forgot about his team though, and has organised a trip for the whole team to go to Scarefest at Alton Towers in October.
Last but not least it’s Blaine, who headed to Leeds Festival 2022 to enjoy the music of the likes of Artic Monkeys, The 1975, Bastille and many, many more. Same again next year Blaine?
