Another month goes by and that means only one thing here at Team HG…. Another monthly enews! It’s been just over 6 months since we started doing our monthly catch up and we’re delighted with how they have been received so far.
This month’s edition of the enews is particularly rewarding for us at HG as it has seen the culmination of some projects we have been working on over a longer period of time, which have been great to finally get over the line. The future is bright too, with some exciting projects in the pipeline that we’ll give you a little teaser to as well.
Without any further ado, let’s get into it…
Duftons Heating and Plumbing
Duftons are on their 2023 enews hattrick!
That’s right, Duftons Heating and Plumbing have already featured in the enews in 2023, where we told you all about the 2 full sprinter van wraps we completed for the Yorkshire plumbing and heating company. Well, they are back once again in this month’s edition too!
On this occasion, we have wrapped one of the sprinter vans in the exact same artwork utilised in January. In just one day, the van was in our HQ and back out with its new branding on, ready to hit the roads. Same again next month guys 😉 haha!
Scutt Potatoes
There’s nothing better than when a project comes off that you have been working on for ages, and this project from Scutt Potatoes is a great example of just that!
Scutt’s came to us last year wanting some advice on how best to get their vans wrapped. I.e wanting to know exactly how long a wrap lasts, the benefits, the costs, as well as the design process. Ultimately, Scutts wanted a business that could project manage the whole process which led to us winning this wrap project.
From the outset, it was clear that design was so important for Directors Rod and Kate, and they really knew what they wanted and where, so it was really easy to work with them in regard to getting a design brief off them. To start the process, they came to site on a couple of occasions to sit down with designer Laura to help bring their design aspirations to life. Kate had previously spent many years working in design, so she really helped out in regard to choosing fonts and colours.
We really did go the extra mile for Scutts, printing off samples and staging photography that could give them a vision of what the finished job would look like. Once the prints and colours were signed off, we got to work printing and fitting 3 vans, 2 Merc Sprinters and 1 Iveco Long wheelbase.
The job wasn’t without its challenges however, as the Iveco was an irish build van so our vehicle outlines were slightly out, which meant our designer had to measure the vehicle up and lay up the graphics when the vehicle arrived to us. This was a whopper of a van!
Scutt Potatoes were delighted with the results and it’s easy to see why by the pictures. This project is a great example of our project management capabilities here at HG, with our ability to take the stress away from our customers, handling the job from start to finish. The branding is looking absolutely ace!
SafeContractor
Safety standards met!
We are delighted to announce that we now have our safecontractor accreditation.
What is the accreditation, I hear you ask?
Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies.
The company’s application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business. SafeContractor accreditation will enhance the company’s ability to win new contracts, and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company liability policy is up for renewal.
Following our team going through the necessary testing and training, we passed, adding yet another accreditation to the mantelpiece.
Secret Project
We really don’t mean to be teasers at times, but there are some projects we just simply can’t talk about due to NDA’s we have signed, even though we absolutely would love to, and this month is yet another example of that unfortunately. In February, the HG Surface brand completed a stage setting wrap for a big artist who is about to embark in their latest UK tour. This project is a big one for us and has been in the pipeline for a good few months now, so it’s great to get it finally ticked off.
URM
When business park neighbours URM, a leading company in buying and recycling all types of glass had been recommended us for their new signage, we were more than happy to oblige.
URM current signage in situ was causing the company some problems. The signage was becoming very much outdated and was getting lost within the shrubbery, with drivers even missing the sign completely because of this.
Following an initial chat with URM, we went to site and conducted a site survey, and recommend some changes, advising on the creation of two posted signs that faced left and right, which would allow visibility from both directions of the road. The team wholeheartedly agreed with our synopsis, giving us the green light to get cracking!
First of all, we took the existing signage down before getting to work with designing and the production of 3 dibond signs, which we fitted to posts and installed further out from the shrubbery edge to allow for more visibility. The results were everything the client hoped for and much more, the feedback we got really was great.
V25 Communications
The job we have completed for V25 communications this month is another example of the multiple strings to our bow at Team HG!
Previously, we had helped brand up 9 vehicles to their growing fleet at V25, but on this occasion they came to us with a different need for our services. V25 as a business are smashing it out of the park, and in a short space of time have grown really quickly. As a result, they have recently moved into new premises just down the road from us on the business park estate and wanted us to help with their new signage.
The project moved really quickly from there, we conducted a site survey, and advised on their new signage, coming up with a few designs for their window graphics within the office area. Within just a few days of the site survey, v25 had approved the visuals and we installed the graphics for their new premises, ready for when they moved!
Another happy customer, and next month we have another 5 more vans on their fleet heading our way for branding in the next month.
Other Projects
Like many of our monthly catch ups, we don’t have the time to talk about every project in detail and this month is no different. Honourable mentions of other projects we have completed go to regular customer Bullet Logistics, whom we helped brand their new tractor units. Stoneacre, where we installed new signage as well as a 7m banner for the team, and last but not least, a local school in Ponty where we supplied and fit 50m of window film to the windows of the building.
As mentioned in the intro to this months enews, we have been looking to the future in February too with 2 site surveys being completed for HG Surface with one being a well-known football stadium in the UK, and with our workbook fully booked up for March, the future is looking bright.
Team News
Anyone for a winter European cruise? We’ve been very jealous of Directors Gavin and Natalie (and little Harry ofcourse) this month, as they have been around Scandinavia on a cruise trip they described as truly amazing! Can we come next time haha?
We’ve celebrated a couple of birthdays this month at HQ too, with Stephen turning 31 (although he kept that quiet) and Kyle turning 28, who loved his ‘My Little Pony’ cake haha. Kyle also got an extra birthday present off his partner who whisked him off to Prague for a few days too!
Gavin and Natalie also purchased a caravan this month and have joined Kyle in the HG caravan club (insert inbetweeners joke here), meaning they can now officially do the ‘secret wave’ at other caravan owners whilst towing down the motorway.
In a flash that brings us to the end of yet another monthly Enews review!
We’d like to conclude this month’s edition of the news by speaking even more directly to you. That’s right, we’d love to feature an external person in our upcoming features, discussing anything to do with the industry, whether that’s sign and graphics related, signage or even architectural films, we would really love to hear from you.
Interested? Drop us a line at hello@teamhg.co.uk, and we’d love to discuss some more.
