December is here, so the Christmas countdown is officially on!

Things have not been slowing down here at HG though, far from it in fact, and although this will be the last enews of 2022 in terms of a release date (Awwwwwwww), there is no doubt about it, the monthly enews will return in 2023!!

So, what’s been going on with us? In a word, lots! We may sound like a broken record now, but this month has been another completely flat-out month with the team putting a fantastic shift in.

Like last month, we are continuing to work on some NDA projects that we can’t discuss just yet! But be patient, we will be able to share these projects very soon. The month of November has seen some great stuff happening in a typical HG style (lots of variety).

Let’s get into it…

Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre

Architectural Wrapping has provided the answer for a National Sports Centre.

That’s right, the HG Surface team have been down in Marlow this month for a couple of days working on a male changing room cubicle project.

The objective Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre had was to refresh existing panels in the toilet environment of the male changing rooms that had been battered and bruised over a long-term period.

As a result, Bisham Abbey sought after Team HG to come in to refresh their surfaces through the utilisation of Architectural Wrapping. Check out the project stats below!

  • 1x Toilet Cubical with backing boards
  • 1x disable shower Cubical
  • 7x Standard Shower Cubical’s
  • 2x entrance panels1x wall panel
  • 1x sink area panels
  • Total 80 Meters Of Material
  • Took 2 days on install, with 4 men.

The project went so well the HG team are set to return to the venue to do the women’s changing rooms too! Read the full case study here: https://hgsurface.com/casestudy/sports-centre-washrooms-transformed-with-architectural-wrapping/.

The Ice Co Storage and Logistics Trailer

Time and time again here at Team HG we tell you that we love having repeat customers because relationships and keeping our customers happy is so important to us, and The Ice Co are definitely one of our cherished repeat customers. It’s not even the first time they have appeared in our monthly enews!

For this particular project, we did another reprint of their existing artwork and installed on another of their shmitz trailers. We really are losing count on how many of these we have done now. It does look smart though doesn’t it??

Sky Pods

Sky Pods have been back on the agenda for the HG team for the month of November.

Ever since our exciting project in conjunction with 3M (Which you can read all about here: https://hgsurface.com/casestudy/hg-surface-and-3m-di-noc-take-glamping-pods-to-a-new-level/), our relationship with Sky Pods really has gone from strength to strength with us working with them again on multiple occasions since.

On this project, we refurbished an existing sky pod, where a new and eye-catching aesthetic was the objective for Sky Pods. Thanks to the utilisation of a metallic grey finish and a night blue metallic finish, we brought their design aspirations to life. Installed in just 1 day by 2 of our certified fitters, 23m of vinyl was applied to provide the finished look. Another job ticked off!

Architectural Finishes

DBL

Starting to realise we do a lot of commercial vehicle work? You’re not wrong.

This one is for DBL Logistics, another family run company from Pontefract actually! DBL Logistics are a company that have 30 years’ experience in their trade, with the services they offer being distribution, storage and international pallet delivery.

So, the project itself. We have been doing a lot of vehicle branding for DBL, and this was another 2 vehicles branded for their brand new Merc Tractor Units. The project was over in a flash, with the 2-man installation just taking a day following HG conducting the design and print beforehand.

Andisa

Tesla car graphics is something which is making its debut to the monthly enews.

Did you know vehicle car graphics is a trend which boomed at the turn of the century? And to tell you the truth, it’s been booming ever since as well! It’s easy to see why too, vehicle wraps are a very memorable way to spread your business’ message; vehicle wraps for sales, service and delivery vehicles are a powerful branding and marketing tool.

In this particular instance, we applied graphics to Andisa’s (yes, another repeat customers) new Tesla Vehicle. Unlike some of our clients, Andisa knew exactly what they wanted from a design point of view and already had the design artwork ready for us. From there it was a very simple job of printing and applying with the project completed in just a morning, and the car was collected the very next day. It really can be as simple as that!

New Apprentice

We’ve added to the HG Family. Quite literally (well sort of).

3 weeks ago, we took on a new apprentice, Harvey, who is the nephew of Team HG’s very own Natalie and Stephen. Harvey is still currently at school and is working here part time, after school hours. Although he’s not 100% sure what he wants to do after school, he has a big interest in graphic design, so it was a real no brainer to get him in for some work experience.

It’s fair to say he’s made a great impression so far.

We’re currently showing him the ropes, both on the computer setting up prints to bench work, as well as weeding, applying print to panels, and using the plotter. Harvey really is a super quick learner and is a proper friendly chap and although he’s only been here 3 weeks, he’s fully capable of just cracking on with a task you set him on with. A genuine pleasure to work with and a credit to himself.

Keep up the great work Harvey.

Company Name Change

We’ve had a company name change! Welcome to Team HG.

Funnily enough, the name ‘Team HG’ was a term we just used loosely when talking about the business generally in pieces like this or social posts, then one weekend whilst talking about work (shouldn’t be allowed I know) Natalie and Gavin decided to make the plunge in changing the HG Graphics company name.

But don’t threat, nothing’s going to change, the structure and operation of the business is going to remain exactly the same, with the same propa Yorkshire service! Both the HG Graphics and HG Surface brands will sit under the umbrella of Team HG.

Any questions? Just give us a shout!

AOB

As mentioned, the Christmas countdown is well and truly on! As usual here at Team HG, we are giving our team a very well-deserved break this Christmas to enjoy with their family and friends. We will be closed from the 23rd of December through to the 2nd of January, reopening our doors on Tuesday the 3rd of January, where we will be refreshed and ready to attack the year of 2023.

Before we break up for the Christmas break the HG team will be ofcourse be having their work Christmas night out which is eagerly anticipated by all of the team with an escape room at xscape planned in!

That wraps up our monthly e news for November. We hope you have enjoyed the read!
