In a blink of an eye, we are in November! Which can only mean one thing here at HG Graphics…. A look back at the month of October and see what the team have been up to.

As always at team HG the month of October was another busy one for the company. From secret projects to award evenings, to Alton Towers and more, theres a lot to get through.

So, without any further ado, let’s get into our 3rd edition of the monthly Enews!

UK Graphic Awards

On the 5th of October, HG Graphics headed to the Manchester Hilton Deansgate Hotel for the UK Graphic awards, and what a night it was. It really was a historic one for the company, with HG being nominated for not just one but two awards for the very first time.

Although no awards were won it’s fair to say that it’s a huge achievement to be shortlisted. For a company of only 7 individuals under 32 years of age the team should be very proud.

The whole night was superb from start to finish, the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were enjoyed by those who weren’t driving ha-ha!

Secret Project

Question mark.

A lot of the work the HG team have been focusing on this month is a very top-secret project.

A top secret project. What could that be?!?! I hear you ask.

Trust us. We really would love to tell you, but we can’t as it’s on going as we write this article!

What we can say is that it’s a UK wide roll out working with a brand to help refresh their exteriors through the utilisation of Architectural Wrapping. It’s such an exciting project that we can’t wait to share with you.

I know, we really are teasing you a little bit with this one. Keep your eyes peeled.

Trade Parts X press

It wouldn’t be a HG month without a Van Wrap, would it? And, once more, it wouldn’t be a month without doing a job for a repeat customer whom the company have had a good relationship with for many years.

Trade Parts X Press are a company the HG team love! Over the years the relationship really has gone from strength to strength, and we have completed countless installs on their vehicles.

This month we have completed 5 Ford Transit L3 and L2 wraps for Trade Parts. This is work rolling over from last year we helped Trade Parts with applying the new brand refresh to their new vans, which PAB Studio’s designed for them.

For this install our designer had templated the panel inlays across 3 different wheelbase vans, meaning we could reduce the install time whenever these vans came to us.

For this project we got to work setting up the print, printing and applying to the 5 vans over 2 days.

Shaw Carpets

The power of word of mouth.

Following a recommendation from Alison at the Yorkshire Upholster, HG Graphics were introduced to Barnsley based Shaw Carpets.

Shaw Carpets objective was to replicate the graphics on their current van to their new van with some minor amends. With minimal fuss we completed the project for the customer. Another project ticked off.

It’s great to see that our work is appreciated by others, and it’s also great to be working with and helping other local businesses.

Nicely Done

Trailer applications have been on the agenda this month too.

Regular customer Andy from Nicely Done came to the team with a change required to his vehicle graphics. Like many of customers, Andy is someone the team have known for an extended period of time now and he trusts that the results he expects will be delivered.

For this particular project new graphics were installed on both an Iveco Daily Luton Box van and a fridge trailer, providing a fresh new look. The pictures do really speak for themselves.

Some may say it’s a nicely done job… weak joke I know.

Crazy & Co

HG get creative for Crazy & Co.

The project is another one of those where it can be described as perhaps ‘a little bit outside the box’, but we love it!

Crazy & Co came to us wanting temporary graphics to be applied to their hospitality trailer. Not only did we apply them, Crazy & Co gave HG and more specifically Laura a free reign to come up with the design. Something she really does relish.

As a result, we designed, printed and installed the temporary graphics as well as illustrating the drinks menu. The application itself only took 2 hours. Speedy stuff.

Another happy customer.

HG Team

It hasn’t all just been work, work, work at the company this month either. Directors Gavin and Natalie took the team to Alton Towers Scare Fest, and the team had a great time. It’s not the first time they have been either, as they had previously been in the past where they even stayed over for the night in ‘Haunted Rooms’ where actors would visit throughout the evening providing scares well into the night. Visiting Alton Towers at this time of year has become quite the tradition at HG.

Team bonding days like this sometimes can be undervalued by many businesses, but it certainly isn’t at HG Graphics.  ‘’Personally, I just think it’s a lovely treat from your bosses, that show appreciation towards the staff members! I feel like HG has become like a second family and a great set of friends who are all working together to build something big with a shared passion.  It’s one of the best work cultures I’ve been in in my career, had a great day and appreciative.’’ Said Laura.

In last month’s edition we told you how Gavin and Natalie had decided summer wasn’t over for them as they set off on a cruise. Well, it became apparent Laura has had the same trail of thought as she jetted off to Lanzarote at the end of the month (a flight she had to catch after 0 hours sleep following Alton towers). Alright for some isn’t it?
