We said it in last months ENews…. Summer is officially over, but that isn’t stopping the positive vibes here at Team HG! as we return for a bumper edition of our monthly catch up.
This month as always is full of great projects, from us leaving England for a whopper of a job, to catering for so many returning customers, to even having time to give our new unit some well needed TLC.
Without any more delay, let’s get into it.
Weed Free
Pick up style vehicle wraps are always one of our favourite jobs to do and we certainly loved doing this one for long term customers of Team HG!, Weed Free.
For this particular wrap, the design was already supplied but with the caveat of a satin finish being required. Following the enquiry coming in, we printed a colour sample for the team which was signed off, and then we got to work producing the material and then wrapping the Nissan Navara.
The customer was buzzing with the finished result and we must say, it is looking very smart indeed.
Motortend Tyres
Fleet wrap complete for Motorend Tyres.
This was yet another job done in September for another long-term customer of HG. For this one, we helped the Birstall based tyre company brand up their fleet of 13 vehicles, including the stripping of old graphics and the applying of new.
In the early stages of this job, we came up with a few designs before the customers approved their preferred visual. Like many of our customers, the real challenge of this project was the management of the logistic side of things, with a need for the companies to have these on the road by the afternoon, as well as the install having to take place onsite in Birstall.
As a result, there was a few early morning starts for our fitters, but nevertheless, our team did what they do best and got this job done. All in all, the job took 2 of our fitters 3 days.
Inevent Branding – The Great North Run
The HG Graphics team headed once again back to Newcastle for the Great North Run. Last year there was a mad rush for the job to be done, with the event only being confirmed to be going ahead last minute due to the untimely passing of the Queen.
Thankfully, this year was a lot smoother, with us helping Inevent Branding with the print and install of the graphic to a video stand near the finish line of the world’s biggest half marathon event. The application itself only took a morning’s work with 2 of our guys on the job.
It’s always really rewarding working on big events like this!
DIY Kitchens
DIY Kitchens are perhaps the customer with the most entrants to the monthly ENews, so unsurprisingly they are back again for some more.
In September, we were able to work on a signage project at one of the company’s sites. This was done to stunning effect (if we don’t say so ourselves), where we site surveyed, produced and installed another whopper of a job which included x2 Halo Illuminated Built Up Letters, which were powder coated in white, spanning over 7 metres wide.
With the addition of the blue illuminated arrow in the signs, 3 of our installers managed to box this job off over 3 days.
Stoneacre – Lexus Hoarding
The Great North run wasn’t the only time we were up in Geordieland last month!
That’s right, we headed up north to install another Stoneacre hoarding at the Lexus Newcastle branch that spanned 4.8 metres wide. Once again, the HG team provided a holistic service, designing, producing and installing the signage.
Stoneacre – Yorkshire Wildlife Park
It’s been over 6 years since we last worked for Yorkshire Wildlife Park, and this past month we have had the opportunity to work with them again, and we have absolutely loved it!!!
Back in 2017, we wrapped a fleet of their vehicles, which you may have seen across our website and social platforms as it’s fair to say the project has been shared many times haha. So, when the phone call came about 2 new vehicles that needed wrapping in the exact same design as last time, we were delighted.
This job really was as fun as last time, with the team completing full wraps on a Ford Tipper and a Ford Ranger, where we set up, printed and installed with just one installer across 4 days, using a 3M IJ280 wrap film with a gloss.
Kontour Productions
In last month’s ENews we told you all about our project for neighbours at Dale Court, T & A Maintenance, now we’re back again with yet another unit neighbour in the form of Kontour Productions.
Following the completion of our project for T & A where we applied Contravision to their windows a few weeks back, Kontour enquired about getting the very same thing done to the rear windows of their unit.
In just one hour we completed the application and the clients’ aspirations were brought to life! Contravision is a print film we love working with, as it allows people to see out whilst making it very hard to see in from the outside too. From an interior perspective you can barely tell if there’s a film even there aswell.
Elite Pressure Wash
This project proves road advertising isn’t dead!
This job came about when James at Elite Pressure Wash came in to see us after he (yeah, you’ve guessed it!) saw our banner on the roadside and as a result, enquired about design and signwriting on his vehicle.
The specific need was that James wanted a panel infil on the rear of the vehicle with print and cut graphics all around. Our design guru Laura worked closely with James on this, ensuring the design was something he was going to be happy with.
Following the design sign off and installation, it’s safe to say James was delighted with the results and had this to say… ‘’Thanks to the team at HG Graphics in South Kirby for my van signage! Would highly recommend!’’
KIA – Dublin
Our last but certainly not least project we are talking about when it comes to the month of September, is our current ongoing refurb at Dublin’s flagship Kia dealership.
As you may have seen many times before on our digital platforms, we have been helping Kia roll out their rebrand around the UK and this has now took the team over to Dublin!
Our guys headed over at the end of September to start the cladding wrap, and this was very much a first for the team, as we decided on getting the flights over and fly back on a Friday. Although this job has required a lot of logistical work, with various challenges thrown in our way, we have certainly not shirked any responsibility and cracked on in true Team HG! style.
So far, the lads are well ahead of schedule and reckon we’ll have this job boxed off by mid-October. Keep your eyes peeled for more on this mega job.
Team HG news
As always here at Team HG!, there is plenty of other things goings on, and September was no exception to that very rule.
Gav and Nat had a great visit to the NEC for the 2023 edition of the Print Show, making some new contacts and gaining some good advice on some of our own equipment as well. A worth while visit.
Summer may be over in the UK, but Lauren and her family were ready for some sun, jetting off to Cambrils for a well deserved break before the little one is due.
And FINALLY…… we even managed to get a few more internal branding out the way, making our new gaf feel a lot more like home. As the saying goes, a mechanic never gets a chance to work on his own car, and the same concept applies to us and our signage/graphics it seems!
This brings us to the end of our 14th edition of the monthly enews.
We hope you once again enjoyed the read. Want to make sure you keep up to date with all things HG? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing us at hello@teamhg.co.uk, and we’ll make sure you don’t miss out.
