The HG monthly e-news is back, back for a second time!

The feedback on our first e-news has been great, and we hope to continue to provide you with some valuable content that gives you a little insight into us, here at Team HG.

So, what’s been going on with us? Well! Just like the month of August, September has been a jam packed one, which involved working on one of the biggest events in the UK calendar.

Let’s get into this month’s edition…

The Great North Run

Where else could we start other than this great event?! An event which almost never went ahead due to the sad passing of Queen Elizabeth ll.

Nevertheless, this job saw the HG team complete a project on behalf of InEvent Branding who we have worked with numerous times in the past. The task in hand was to apply branded print film to landmark points on The Great North Run course.

But it wasn’t as simple as that. As always with events like this, the turnarounds on the projects are required to be very, very fast and this one was no different.

Despite the designs being provided to us (which was a big help) the printing and installation had to be completed by the HG team in just two days, which we managed to do, with just over 50m’s of print successfully installed in time for the big day.

What a great, respectful event it was too!

Onward Holdings

In last months edition of the e-news we told you that strong, long-lasting relationships is something we pride ourselves on, and in Onward Holdings, we have another great customer who we have had a great relationship with for years now.

This project was all about signage, another facet to the HG repertoire. In this particular project there was a requirement to install 160 signs across three sites; South Kirkby, Castleford and Normanton, all of which are local to us here in Pontefract.

Here is another example of the project management capabilities of ours coming to the floor. We managed this project from start to finish. From the site surveys of each project to the design, production and printing of the signs, to then installing them.

5 days of production was taken to create the signs that included flat dibond panels, foamex, a tray sign and a stencil cut sign. The installation itself took 1 day per site (3 days in total).

Another big project ticked off for the team and another happy customer!

Signs for Onward Holdings.

CBE+

Onward Holdings wasn’t the only signage job we did this month, we completed a nice signage project for the Chesterfield based company, CBE+.

Like many of our projects, this didn’t just include installing the signs, our services included a site survey, design creation and mock-ups completed for approval, and finally the half day install itself.

For this project we firstly produced a printed flat panel dibond sign that replaced the panel in a totem sign that was already in situ, and then we produced 2 sets of flat cut dibond letters (approx. 2m wide each) which were then installed (and look very smart by the way!).

Novak & Parkes Design

Why buy new when you can just simply renew?

Architectural Wrapping is something the HG Surface arm of our business absolutely love doing, and our latest project with Novak & Parkes Design is no different.

The client (Novak & Parkes Design) required three reception desks to be wrapped across three different sites in Redditch, Leicester and Leeds where a marble effect wrap was required to bring an element of realism and class to their reception desks, and the Architectural Film we used for this makeover did this brilliantly.

Architectural Film doesn’t always have to be a money saving option, this project is yet more proof it can bring the design WOW factor to any setting.

Phillips Skip Hire

Phillips Skip Hire are yet another repeat customer of ours at HG who came to us in the midst of an internal rebrand of their company.

Formally known as ‘Strong Skips’ the company came to us to fully wrap their new truck with their new branding and imagery, changing from the old design, which you’ve guessed it, we did for them too!

With minimal fuss we completed this redesign for them, making this our 4th completed truck for the company, and it’s safe to say the guys were happy with the result.

There’s something about wrapped trucks which are so, so satisfying.

On the Move Media

September also saw us work on behalf of On The Move Media to help The LVC group get… on the move….looking smart and as good as new.

The task in hand was that we needed to set up the artwork and install the print (of The LVC Group) onto The LVC Group’s Schmitz Trailer (that was originally sourced by On The Move Media).

The project wasn’t without its difficulties though, as there were concerns that the print might be pixelated when applied onto the large trailer. This wasn’t a problem though, as the HG team were on hand to provide a scale sample to test which the client was more than happy with.

They were also more than happy with the results of the 80m print install, which was installed on site in an impressive half a day.

Staff News

Like many of us in the UK, the HG team have been clinging onto the end of summer (which by the way has definitely now gone) throughout the month of September.

The boys (Steve, Gav, Kyle & Blaine) headed throughout the month to Sherwood Forest on evenings and weekends having some fun on their mountain bikes while they can.

Gav and Natalie also found some time to head off on a lovely cruise around the Norwegian Fjords. I can’t lie, I am very jealous!!

Laura decided to treat herself this month and bought herself an Xbox and has been gaming with Steve ever since.

And that’s another busy e-news wrapped up!

We hope you have enjoyed the read. Enjoyed it enough you don’t want to miss anything HG related? Please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing us at hello@teamhg.co.uk and we’ll make sure you don’t miss out.
